How many Forms can a user create?
With all of the Educational and Commercial licenses, you can create 200 forms.
How many responses can a Form receive?
Educational and Commercial 365 licenses can receive up to 50,000 responses, and personal licenses can receive only 1,000.
Can someone without an Office 365 account respond to my survey or quiz?
Microsoft Forms authors can toggle their settings to allow users outside of their organization to respond to their survey or quiz. In this case, users will be submitting responses anonymously. If you want to see who has filled out your survey or quiz, you can require respondents to fill in their names as part of your questionnaire.
What platforms does Microsoft Forms support?
Microsoft Forms runs on Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and web platforms.
Is Microsoft Forms GDPR compliant?
Microsoft Forms data follows the O365 Compliance Framework, and meets Compliance Category C as outlined in the framework.
Microsoft Forms has also met GDPR compliance requirements as of May 2018.
Does Forms capture the name and email address of all respondents?
Forms doesn’t allow the request of email and names via unique identifiers, but, if you’d like to obtain this information you can include “What is your email address” as a question, and make the response mandatory.
If you replicate a survey, is there any way to compare the data from both surveys?
Yes and no. No, from the perspective of viewing within the UI of Forms, but yes in the instance of being able to export the data to Excel and compare via your desktop application and/ or opening up two tabs and clicking between both Forms.
Can we download a form and then import it back when we need it so we don’t have to recreate?
You can save it in your Forms UI for 5 years, you can assign a status to the Form to show whether it’s active/ inactive. The Form will stay in your UI until you delete it.
Is there any way to offer Forms to mobile devices that are Offline (e.g. a work sheet for a remote worker to fill in on their phone that is not in a 3G/4G area)?
Users do need internet access to access and complete Forms.
Can we export & share with others (e.g. Customer Tenants) so the responses stay in their tenant?
Yes, although this would have to be online.
Is it possible to add data validation to questions? E.g. Is it a valid email address?
It is not possible to add further data validation to questions.
How can we provide feedback to the Forms development team to point out use cases?
Simply head to the Forms UI, click the ellipses in the top right-hand corner and hit the Feedback button.
Is it possible to embed a specific identifier in the form or link so that the response is matched to that identifier so we know the indemnity of the respondent?
If you adjust the Form settings you can capture name, as shown on the ‘Who can fill out this form” section and ticking the record name box for internal users. For external forms, simply include a “What’s your name” or “What’s your email address” question.
What if they put in a different email address or name, is it possible to use a tracking ID on the form link?

Yes, in the ‘share’ tab, there is an option to embed text into your webpage.
