1. Man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack A man-in-the-middle carried out with the aim of stealing sensitive information, such as login credentials, account details, and credit card numbers. These attacks are often targeted at users of financial applications, SaaS businesses, e-commerce sites, and other websites where logging in is required. Prevention: only visit websites with a secure HTTP connection using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. Use a virtual private network (VPN) to encrypt data and make it harder for attackers to intercept communications.
