Announcement: New leader for digital distribution, cloud business in Europe

Bristol, UK – ScanSource, Inc., a leading global provider of technology products and solutions (NASDAQ: SCSC), today announced the appointment of Marcus Ollenbuttel to Senior Vice President of Digital Distribution for its business in Europe. ScanSource’s digital distribution business encompasses both the recently acquired intY CASCADE platform and ScanSource Cloud Services businesses.
In this new role, Mr. Ollenbuttel leads the intY sales, marketing, supplier management and partner concierge functions, which encompasses the post-sale technical support and professional services teams. He is also charged with assisting in the continued integration of the intY and ScanSource businesses. In addition, Mr. Ollenbuttel manages the ScanSource Cloud Services business, which supports the agent model, ensuring they have the tools and support needed as they look to grow their cloud and recurring revenue business.
Mr. Ollenbuttel joined ScanSource in 2013 as a team leader for the UK and progressed to the role of Vice President of Merchandising for ScanSource POS and Barcode in Europe. During this time, he led the company’s supplier strategy and relationships and was responsible for product marketing plans, inventory management and recruitment of new suppliers. Prior to his current European role, Mr. Ollenbuttel oversaw the company’s UK sales operation.
