The primary role of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to recruit new partners and drive increased revenue. The BDM’s are each responsible for a specific geographic territory, including partners, prospects, vendor field reps, and revenue. A range of 50% travel may be required for partner/prospect visits, company-sponsored events, and industry trade shows. The BDM often is the face of ScanSource and is expected to be a role model of sales professionalism. A degree and/or prior sales experience are essential.
