The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically capable architect to join the team, leading the charge in all things technical as part of our newly formed Azure practice. The Cloud Solution Architect is a subject matter expert covering Azure products and services who is responsible for acting as an internal and external consultant in designing solutions for customers.

With a primary focus on delivering IaaS projects and enabling our partners in discovering and migrating on premise workloads to the Azure cloud. This position has a primary technology stack however it is desirable that you have general knowledge across all major technology groups. Highly collaborative, you will be able to navigate through multiple departments to achieve intY’s goals.



Support partners and the internal sales team in discovery and migration of workloads into a cloud environment
Be the upper most technical authority in the business on pre-sales enquires and solution architecture
Build rapport with both partners and Microsoft in achieving business goals of growing Azure consumed revenue and partner enablement including consulting with customers directly
Creates technical content for sales enablement and marketing
Attend supplier and partner conferences as needed
Be an expert in the Azure eco-system and maintain high level of competitive knowledge in other cloud technologies including AWS, Google Cloud and On-premise environments
Research different technologies to be incorporated into solutions
Become a thought leader in Microsoft / Azure eco-system and represent intY at Microsoft architect conferences and events
Having a strong knowledge of the commercial sides of business to help build solutions to assist our partners grow their Azure business
Ability to speak and relate technology to both a technical and non-technical audience

Skills & Experience



  • Minimum five (5) years prior related experience
  • Hold or be in a position to pass AZ-300 Certification as a minimum
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps certifications – expert level
  • Highly skilled and proficient in understanding on-premise and cloud networks
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, PCI, HIPPA
  • Experience designing or implementing On-Premise, Cloud, and Hybrid Solutions
  • Must have experience in mapping DC Build, Migration, and Consolidation environments in Azure to consult / advise / implement migrations
  • Highly skilled and proficient in understanding on-premise and cloud networks
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, PCI, HIPPA
  • Full understanding of Azure pricing mechanisms including Azure Plan, Cost Calculations, TCO, and ability to deliver in coherent way to customers
  • Azure Security Practices and full understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework
  • Designing High Availability and Business Continuity Solutions
  • Expert in Azure SQL, ADFS, IaaS, PaaS, Reserved Instances, Optimization practices, On-premise to Azure Migrations, WVD, Backup and Site Recovery, Azure Stack
  • Ability / Experience in designing / delivering billable professional services.
  • Experience in constructing SOW’s for customers to clearly define works, costs models and TCO, deliverables


  • Hold one or more of the following – AZ-100 Azure Infrastructure and deployment, AZ-301 Azure Architect Design, AZ-101 Azure Integration and Security
  • Degree level education
  • Experience in distribution or working for a partner/reseller

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation during normal business hours designated for this position.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time
